Sobriety Checkpoint To Be Held At Lakewood-Cleveland Border
Cleveland police will hold a sobriety checkpoint on Monday night.
CLEVELAND — Cleveland police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Monday night near the Cleveland-Lakewood border. The checkpoint will run from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Police will be stationed in the area of W. 117th and Clifton Avenue on Monday night.
Police departments in Ohio are required by law to announce sobriety checkpoints and their locations prior to the operation. If law enforcement did not announce the checkpoints, residents could argue their Fourth Amendment rights had been violated.
