Some Lakewood Homes Evacuated Friday After House-Car Collision
A car drove into a Lakewood house on Friday night, hitting a gas line and forcing emergency services to evacuated nearby families.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Some homes near Wyandotte and Franklin avenues were evacuated Friday night after a gas line was ruptured when a car drove into a house. The accident happened in the early morning hours, around 2:30 a.m.
Police said the crash was likely the result of distracted driving, not alcohol, according to News 5. The driver was charged with full time and attention and then released, the news channel reported.
No one was hurt in the accident, either in the house or the 24-year-old driver. Neighboring families were allowed to return to their homes after the gas line had been shut off to the hit house.
