St. Ed's 4th In First OHSAA Football Ranking
The 4-0 Eagles are behind St. Ignatius, Stow-Munroe Falls and Canton McKinley in the first computer ranking of the season.

LAKEWOOD, OH — In the first OHSAA computer rankings of the 2017 football season, the undefeated St. Edward Eagles were ranked 4th in Division I, Region I. The number one team in the state, according to the computers, is St. Ed's rival, St. Ignatius.
The top three teams in the state are St. Ignatius, Stow-Munroe Falls and Canton-McKinley, all traditional football powerhouses. All four of the top four teams in Division I, Region I are undefeated. The other six teams in the region have at least one loss.
The Eagles are on a bye this week, but will return to action Sept. 23, at Lakewood Stadium, at 1 p.m., against Buchtel. (Subscribe to the Patch Lakewood newsletter for local news and updates.)
