St. Ed's—St. Ignatius Hockey Championship Game Live Stream
The district championship is on the line Saturday when these two rivals square off.

LAKEWOOD, OH — St. Edward and St. Ignatius are forever destined to square off for Northeast Ohio sports supremacy. The two schools will meet on the ice for the district championship in hockey on Saturday. It's a match-up between two ice hockey powerhouses, with the St. Ignatius Wildcats looking to three-peat as state champions and the St. Ed's Eagles looking to play spoiler and win a title of their own.
The game will start at 1 p.m. on Saturday. The action will be live streamed by St. Edward for folks that can't make it to the John M. Coyne Recreation Center in Brooklyn.
The winner of this district championship game will go onto the Ohio final four. The Wildcats from St. Ignatius will likely be the favorite in the game. The team finished the season as the number one team in Division I hockey. St. Ed's was ranked fifth.

St. Ignatius has been a terror on the ice for three straight years. The Wildcats won the state tournament in 2017 and 2016 and are looking to three-peat in 2018.
St. Edward has been to the final four a record 21 times — all since 1985. The Eagles were last in the state championship game in 2015, where they lost a 3-1 match to Toledo's St. Francis de Sales.
