The Cardinals are in the midst of a great season. Like St. Edward, the team's lone loss in the regular season came at the hands of the St. Ignatius Wildcats. Iggy beat Mentor 41-31 on Sept. 1.
Since then, Mentor has had some impressive victories, including a 62-0 drubbing of Brunswick and victories over Euclid and Solon, two teams that had playoff aspirations in 2017.

St. Edward will be looking to end Mentor's season and continue its march to the regional finals. Should the Eagles win Friday night's game, they could be playing Euclid (9-2) or rival St. Ignatius (10-1) in the finals.
While a match-up with both Euclid and St. Iggy would produce incredible football, Eagles fans are likely hoping for a rematch with the Wildcats. St. Ignatius ended St. Edward's bid for a perfect season in the last game of the regular season, winning a tight contest 17-10.
During the Friday night game against Canton McKinley, St. Ed's quarterback Garrett Dzuro made some incredible passes. A couple of those were captured on video in the tweets below. Check it out.
