Police initially said that a clerk at the Detroit Road-based Convenient Store called police at about 10:20 p.m. on Friday. He said a man had just come into his store and robbed him at gunpoint.

The suspect had come into the store, whipped out a handgun, and demanded cash. The clerk handed over some money and the suspect ran out of the store.
