Missing Lakewood Woman: Possible Remains Found
Police say a bag buried along along Big Creek in Brooklyn was excavated on Monday and that possible biological remains were found inside.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Police have found biological remains in Brooklyn, Ohio that may be connected to a missing woman. Since October 2016, Lakewood Police and the FBI have been searching for Roaa Al Dhannoon, 24. Today, police found a container buried along Big Creek Reservation and the container may have biological remains inside.
Al Dhannoon was last seen at her apartment on Edgewater Drive in Lakewood. An employee of the popular Aladdin's restaurant in Lakewood, Al Dhannoon is described as having black hair, black eyes, 5 feet, 4 inches tall and 132 pounds with a tattoo on her left hand and wrist.
Lakewood Police said it has been following up on information received in relation to the Al Dhannoon case. The container with possible biological remains in it has been taken by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office for examination.

Law enforcement were searching a wooded area in Big Creek. The search was a collaboration between the FBI, Lakewood Police, the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s office and the Ohio Search and Recovery K-9 Team. Lakewood Police says the investigation into Dhannoon's disappearance is ongoing.
Patch reported in December 2016 that Lakewood Police Chief Tim Malley described Dhannoon's disappearance as suspicious and "out of character" for her because, according to friends, she would never willfully abandon her 3-year-old son. Her son is currently safe.

In late October, Dhannoon's ex-husband, Fahad Mohammed Saeed, was arrested and charged with violating a protection order issued by the Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court as a result of their recent divorce. According to Malley, her ex-husband has not been charged and is not considered a suspect in her disappearance, as they do not have a crime at this time. Saeed is now free on bond.
The couple came into the United States three years ago as refugees from Iraq.
