SWAT Stand-Off In Lakewood After 80-Year-Old Found Dead
A SWAT standoff ensued in Lakewood after an 80-year-old man was found dead on Clifton Bouelvard.

LAKEWOOD, OH — An 80-year-old man was found dead outside a Lakewood home on Wednesday, prompting a SWAT standoff on Clifton Boulevard.
Police were asked to do a welfare check on a resident on Clifton Boulevard. When officers arrived, the resident was outside the home and being treated by EMS. He was declared dead on the scene.
Officers then learned a suspect in the man's death was inside the home. The suspect refused to come out and SWAT teams were called to the house.

The standoff lasted through Wednesday night and into Thursday morning before the suspect surrendered at 5 a.m., police said.
No one was hurt during the standoff, police said.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office identified the 80-year-old man as Craig Cullen-Terzano. His death is being investigated as a suspected homicide, the medical examiner said.
Gov. Mike DeWine recognized Cullen-Terzano's death during a news conference on Thursday. The 80-year-old was a member of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections. DeWine said he mourns his passing and offered his condolences to Cullen-Terzano's family.
The investigation into the 80-year-old's death is ongoing, police said.
