Traffic Changes During Lakewood Center North Construction
The city announced that traffic pattern changes would begin impacting the area around Detroit Road on April 18.

LAKEWOOD, OH - Lakewood Center North will be undergoing massive renovations soon and the project is expected to be completed by late 2017. The city released information on Thursday on how the construction will impact traffic.
Traffic will be maintained going both directions during the project. Starting April 18, there will be a crane on Belle Avenue for one to two weeks. Then on May 8 there will be a crane on Detroit Road for one to two weeks. While the crane is on Detroit, the sidewalk in front of Lakewood Center North will be closed.
Tenants at Lakewood Center North will need to use the rear entrance of the building, as will customers of Forage Public House. Metered parking spaces will temporarily be closed around Detroit and Belle. Finally the RTA bus stop in front of Lakewood Center North will be temporarily moved one block east, in front of the church at Marlowe.

The 15-floor tower renovation will create 153 high-end apartments at Lakewood Center North, while the top two floors will remain commercial office space. The first floor will continue to be occupied by Forage, the city says.
“In Lakewood, our housing market largely drives the local economy, with more than 32,000 residential units of all sizes, types and price points available throughout the city,” said Bryce Sylvester, the city’s director of planning and development, in a statement on the city's website.
