TV Sports Celebrity Visits Lakewood

It's not easy to book famous TV sports announcers to come to an event and sometimes it can get expensive also. But this weekend USA Basketball held its Coach Academy Cleveland clinic at St. Edward HS as host. A major factor in making this happen was the influence that the basketball coach (Eric Flannery) at St. Edward has with USA Basketball. His reputation with them is nonpareil (yes, I know, it's an SAT word, LOL)

Clark Kellogg of CBS Sports showed up and gave an excellent talk about "The Coach and Player Relationship". Since it was my first time seeing him in person I was impressed by his height. When I asked him how tall he was, he responded, "6' 8' or 6' 9".

As the unofficial official photographer for USA Basketball (their person missed a flight so couldn't be there) and since I had experience as a professional sports photographer with NIKE Basketball back in NYC, I stepped in to fill the void. And here's the photo I took of both Coach Flannery and Clark Kellogg. Sometimes one gets lucky being in the right place at the right time with the right gear.
