Volunteers and donations needed for Happy Campers Week

St. Augustine Health Campus is in search of volunteers and donations for annual Happy Campers Week.

St. Augustine Health Campus is looking for volunteers to help with Happy Campers Week, a resident camping trip at Camp Cheerful in Strongsville, August 16-21, 2015. Volunteers are needed to help cook and serve meals, assist with fishing, play games, help with arts and crafts or just fellowship with nursing home residents as they enjoy the great outdoors!

The uniqueness of this event is that residents can choose what they want to do anytime, whether it’s brushing the horses, fishing, strolling the campgrounds or playing cards. A lot of volunteers are needed to accomplish this goal -- you are needed.

Although the camping week costs St. Augustine over $18,000, we do not charge any of the residents. Why do we do it? Because it’s the right thing to do as part of our mission to promote quality of life. This is why we are asking for your support. Volunteers, monetary and in-kind donations are crucial.
