Volunteers Needed For Lakewood Community Relations Commission
Lakewood City Council put out a call for volunteers on Thursday.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Volunteers are needed to work with the Lakewood Community Relations Advisory Commission. Lakewood City Council put out the call for helpers on Thursday.
The Community Relations Advisory Commission promotes respect for diversity and equity and fosters bonds of mutuality between groups and individuals in Lakewood. There are several signature outreach events annually that are put on by the commission, like the Welcome to Lakewood event. Members of the Community Relations Advisory Commission also work as mentors for the city's new Youth Council.
Residents interested in joining the commission will need to submit a resume and cover letter, explaining their interest in the group and why they value diversity. The packet can then be turned over to the Lakewood Clerk of Council.
