Mayor Meghan George is seeking applicants for positions on four boards and commissions.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Mayor Meghan George is looking for residents who want to get involved in Lakewood politics. George is looking to fill positions on four Lakewood committees and commissions.
The Citizens Advisory Commission, Community Relations Advisory Committee, the Planning Commission and the Civil Service Commission all have openings. Applicants will need to complete an online form and submit a resume to be considered.
The Citizens Advisory Commission researches community development needs and reviews the consolidated plan for the city. Members will look over proposals for federal funds and make recommendations to Lakewood City Council, based on the needs of the community.

The Community Relations Advisory Committee advises city officials on matters relating to Lakewood, specifically with an eye on advancing the city's diversity, equity and "bonds of mutuality."
The Planning Commission serves an important function in Lakewood. The group reviews requests for land usage, lot consolidations and other development proposals throughout the city.
