We All Scream! Free Ice Cream For First Day Of Spring, Helps Good Causes

Dairy Queen and the Sweet Spot in Lakewood are both doing Spring-inspired ice cream giveaways.

LAKEWOOD, OH - It may not feel like Spring outside, but you can give your tastebuds a preview of the coming season for free. Several local ice cream joints are offering a free scoop of ice cream in honor of the official start of Spring.

Ice cream chain Dairy Queen is giving away a free small vanilla ice cream, on a cone, on March 20. The chain is hoping that customers will use the extra pocket change to make a donation to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

Locally, Lakewood's Sweet Spot, 17806 Detroit Ave., is hosting its own Spring-inspired giveaway on March 21. If you visit the Sweet Spot between noon and 9 p.m. on Tuesday, you can get a free scoop of gelato in a flavor of your choice.
