When Is Winter Break For Lakewood Schools?

LAKEWOOD, OH — Winter recess will start December 19 for students and December 23 for staffers in the Lakewood City Schools. The break will continue through January 6, according to the district's calendar.

That means students will have about three weeks of classes in December. The district will have plenty of events for families to partake in before the holidays hit, though.

Here are some of the key upcoming events in the Lakewood Schools for this month:

• Lakewood High Silver Winter Concert - Dec. 5
• Snowflake Shop at Lincoln Elementary - Dec. 6
• Sounds of the Season Concert - Dec. 13-14
• Lakewood High Choral Concert - Dec. 16
• Professional Day for Staff - Dec. 20
• Official start of winter - Dec. 21
• Winter break begins - Dec. 23
• New Year's Eve - Dec. 31
• New Year's Day - Jan. 1
• Winter break ends - Jan. 6
