Where Is St. Ed's Ranked In Most Recent OHSAA Poll?
The Eagles are still undefeated. Was that enough to vault them into the number one spot?

LAKEWOOD, OH — The St. Edward Eagles are once again undefeated after Week 8. The Lakewood-based team smashed Canada Prep Academy 31-7 at a home game Oct. 14. The team's record is now 8-0.
The Eagles are ranked 2 in Division I, Region 1 in the latest OHSAA computer rankings. They are one of two undefeated teams in the region, along with Canton McKinley (ranked 4). St. Ignatius is 7-1 and ranked first in the region.
With just two games left in the season, the 2017 iteration of the Holy War seems fated to be between the top ranked Wildcats and second ranked Eagles. That game will be a home contest for St. Ed's. Before the Eagles can look to their Oct. 28 match-up with St. Ignatius, the team first has to dispatch Archbishop Moeller, a Cincinnati-based prep school. Moeller is currently ranked 3 in Division I, Region 4. The team has a 4-4 record and would be happy to play spoiler to an undefeated St. Ed's.
St. Ignatius will also be taking on a Cincinnati-area team this week. The Wildcats will square off with Cincinnati St. Xavier, the number one team in Division I, Region 4. Xavier is currently 8-0.

Both the Ignatius and St. Ed's games will be broadcast on local TV. The St. Ed's game will be shown at 4 p.m. Oct. 21 on channel 314 in northeast and southwest Ohio and channel 311 in central Ohio. The Ignatius game will be shown Oct. 21 at 3 p.m. on channel 311 in northeast and southwest Ohio and channel 314 in central Ohio.
