Wing Crawl: Shuffle, Eat and Repeat
The increasingly popular wing-eating shuffle will feature deep-fried chicken from 11 of Lakewood's bars and restaurants, and is expected to bring in a sell-out crowd of 1,000 people.
Six hours, $15, 44 wings, 11 bars, 1,000 people and one overall winner pretty much sums up the plan for this year's Wing Crawl.
This Saturday's event, organized by the Pillars of Lakewood young professionals club, will shuttle partiers around to enjoy 4 wings at each of the 11 locations that span from to
"Most of those folks do tend to come in out of the Lakewood area, so it's a good opportunity to show off the city, and shine a spotlight on our restaurants and businesses," Ward 3 City Councilman and co-organizer Shawn Juris said.

After attendees sample all the buffalo flavored fare, they'll cast ballots to help determine the deep-fried winner.
Celebrity judges from local news and radio stations will also vote to influence which restaurant should capture the number one spot.

"There's been a lot of buzz and interest this year, so we're really encouraging people to get their passes now before we hit our 1,000 ticket cap, which could happen days before the crawl."
The shuffle will run from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday, August 20, and tickets for the event can be purchased at pillarsoflakewood.org/wingcrawl.
