YMCA Of Greater Cleveland Appoints New Vice President
Chicago-transplant Ana Thomas will lead youth development for the YMCA of Greater Cleveland.

CLEVELAND — Ana Thomas has been named the vice president of youth development for the YMCA of Greater Cleveland. She now leads the group's child development programs, including child care summer and sports camps, swimming lessons and community youth services.
Thomas was previously living in Chicago, where she worked for Y-USA as a technical adviser for evidence based youth development. She provided technical assistance to YMCA's across the nation.
"Ana has an extensive background in youth development, including a wide range of experiences establishing and elevating the quality of out-of-school time programs,” said Joe Carney, COO of the YMCA of Greater Cleveland. “She brings diverse perspectives from working with young people to building the systems and supports necessary for quality programming. We are delighted she is bringing her talents to our Y."

Thomas, who now lives in Lakewood, was once an adviser for school-age continuous quality improvement at the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago. She also held various roles with Chicago Youth Centers.
She earned her Bacherlor's in business and professional development at State University of New York College at Plattsburgh. She earned a Master's in Education in Youth Development at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

The YMCA of Greater Cleveland provides services and programs to branches in Cuyahoga, Erie, Lorain, Geauga and Portage counties.
