Morning, neighbors! It's me again, Christopher Schmitt, and this is the Marietta Daily.

First, today's weather:

Here are the top stories in Marietta today:

  1. Ohio could ban abortion. The Ohio House held a hearing for a bill that aims to make abortion illegal if the U.S. Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade. (Statehouse News Bureau)
  2. A 'Freeze Warning' is in effect until 9 am this morning. The icy weather will kill crops and sensitive vegetation left unprotected. (WCSO)
  3. Ohio Governor Mike Dewine is making a stop in Marietta later today. He will be at the Peoples Bank Theater to announce historic investments to improve the quality of life around here. (WTAP)
  4. Blennerhassett Island will reopen this Friday (WTAP)
  5. A fired OU professor is suing the school, again. Former professor Yusef Kalyango was fired due to sexual harassment claims by two female students, but he claims that his race (black) and gender (male) tainted the allegations. His previous lawsuit was dismissed. (WOUB)
