According to Kelsy Eaton, President and CEO of the Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce, such luncheons provide an excellent opportunity for elected officials to discuss how state-level decisions can influence local communities. Downtown Marietta is hosting its Cabin Fever Shop Hop this Saturday featuring 18 participating businesses, comprising retail and dining establishments. Shoppers will have a chance to win a grand prize basket worth $600 of merchandise and gift cards from the participating businesses. Alisa Amador, a singer-songwriter from Boston, conducted a songwriting workshop at The Gathering Place in Marietta, aimed at music enthusiasts, aspiring musicians, and prospective music therapists. During the workshop, Amador listened to the attendees' music, shared her own music, and provided activities to enhance their creativity. The Washington County Commissioners have urged locals to share their feedback during the first public hearing on Community Development Block Grant funding.
