Here are the top three stories today in Marietta:

  1. On Saturday, Mar. 25 at 11:15 p.m., the Ohio River crested at 26.95 feet in Marietta where the flood stage is 35 feet, according to the National Weather Service. Due to the storm, there were more than 3,000 without power in Washington County, according to American Electric Power-Ohio. (Marietta Times)
  2. Two PBS “Art21” videos on the work of Zanele Muholi and Wangechi Mutu will be shown by Marietta College. The documentary series focuses on art in the 21st century and aims to "inspire a more creative and inclusive world through the works and words of contemporary artists." The presentations are free and open to the public for three days from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Apr. 18 through Apr. 20 in Gallery 310 on the third floor of the Hermann Fine Arts Building.   3. On Mar. 26, the Vault in Marietta hosted its Grand Opening event in the old Citizens Bank Building on 2nd Street. Amy Knapp, the Vault’s manager, said the new venue's event was well-attended and successful. Bryan Casey, one of the owners of the Vault, said, “Just terrific to see this many people come out in support of the restoration of a historic building and the reuse of that building, and what that means to the city of Marietta.” (WTAP)
