3. 6th annual Manufacturing In Action connects 400+ students with Valley employers (wtap.com) — In Marietta, more than 400 high school students just met face-to-face with local manufacturers at the Washington County Career Center's Manufacturing In Action event, exploring hands-on career paths in trades, CDL driving, and plant work. Fort Frye volleyball takes down Marietta in 5 sets (mariettatimes.com) — Marietta High's volleyball team fell in a hard-fought five-set rematch against Fort Frye, which rallied after dropping the opening set. The Tigers, now 13-4, will quickly regroup to host St. Albans on Tuesday, while Fort Frye heads to Waterford for a "Dig for a Cure" night on Monday.

Mountwood Bird Club turns fall migration into community, conservation (wtap.com) — A regional birding club that includes many members from the Marietta area is using fall migration season to get people outside, slow down, and connect with nature. Weekly outings, citizen-science checklists, and beginner-friendly apps help locals learn bird songs, support conservation data, and enjoy a low-cost hobby away from screens throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley.
