Boil Advisory + ODOT Project + Ohio Deaths

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Marietta.

(Patch Media)

Hi all. It's me, Christopher Schmitt, your host of the Marietta Daily — back in your inbox with everything that's fit to print about what's happening in the community today. Let's do this.

First, today's weather:

Clouds and sun. High: 79 Low: 57.

Here are the top stories today in Marietta:

  1. A boil advisory has been issued for parts of Marietta. This would be part of Ohio and South Third Streets. Nearby areas have experienced water pressure loss. (WTAP)
  2. A $35 million ODOT project kicks of today to try and reduce rockslides in Southeast Ohio. The project could effect traffic between Route 7 and 807 in the Newport area. (WTAP)
  3. Deaths are rising among working-age Ohioans. Deaths among those between 15 and 64 years old are up 51% over the last 15 years. Some reasons include higher rates of cancer, heart disease, liver disease, respiratory disease, stroke, cerebrovascular diseases, and COVID-19. (Ohio News Journal)
