Charles "Charlie" Allen, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on August 12, 1943, in Parkersburg, WV, Charlie was a cherished resident of Williamstown, WV, where he spent the majority of his life.

Charlie was a proud alumnus of Williamstown High School, Class of 1961, and went on to earn a business degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to assume ownership of the American Bisque Company in Williamstown, WV, where he made a lasting impact on his community.

A proud Vietnam War veteran, Charlie served his country with honor in the United States Army. His dedication to service continued throughout his life as an active member of the American Legion Post #159, where he participated in the honor guard. Charlie was also a dedicated member of the Boy Scouts of America, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, and was a respected member of Masonic Lodge #129.

Charlie attended the First United Methodist Church in Williamstown, WV. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as hunting rabbits and turkeys, and cherished the companionship of his beloved Beagle dogs, Buddy, Zero, and Smokey. Charlie will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his community, and his country. His legacy of kindness, service, and love will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Charlie is survived by his wife of nearly 58 years, Mary Allen, whom he married on July 7, 1968. He leaves behind his loving daughter, Jennifer Allen (Bart Branham). Charlie is also survived by his sisters, Jean Collins, Carol Allen, and Jo Jones, as well as his dear friends, Ted Townsend, Tom Bobbitt, and Jim Waybright.

He was preceded in death by his parents, A. Neal Allen and Eleanor Allen, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 at the First United Methodist Church in Williamstown, WV with Pastor David Stilgenbauer officiating with a graveside service to follow in Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown, WV. An hour of visitation will be held prior to the memorial service.
