  1. COVID-19 dominates the Washington State Community College Board of Trustees meeting. (Marietta Patch)
  2. An Ohio Republican Representative is trying to get a bill passed that would ban many vaccine mandates in the state. However, some think the bill doesn't go far enough and is being called a watered-down version of another bill they had considered. (Statehouse News Bureau)
  3. A couple of Marietta College track stars are getting some big ups. Former All-American Laura Pullins was given the 2021 Cleland-Lazorik Award this weekend for her achievements in athletics. All-American Senior Alex Dimon picked up the 2021 Way-Weigelt Award for his leadership, character, scholarship, and sportsmanship.
  4. So far close to 1000 Afghan refugees have been shipped to Ohio. They are mostly heading to cities like Cincinnati, Akron, and Toledo, but where they go is being decided by the federal government. (Statehouse News Bureau)
  5. September 19-25 is child passenger safety week. The Washington County Sheriff's Office says they're working with the NHTSA to encourage parents and caregivers to make sure their children are properly secured in their vehicles. (WCSO)
