1. WTAP reports that there's a preliminary hearing set for an Athens County deputy accused of tampering with evidence. Deputy Jimmy Childs was in court yesterday morning in connection with the alleged Bellar family sexual abuse case. He's due back in court next week. (WTAP)
2. WTAP reports that a couple of people are in the hospital for a crash in Newport. The crash involved a motorcycle on County Road Nine. (WTAP)

3. The Adelphia Music Hall has a new Facebook page. They are starting up their summer concert series soon and have already released their concert lineup.
4. Marietta College has a new football player. Yesterday, The Columbia Raiders football team tweeted out that Joe Governale has committed to play football for Marietta College. He was a superstar quarterback in northern Ohio, and expectations are high for him here.
5. Marietta College is going to play Rochester, NY in the NCAA Tournament. Marietta College Athletics retweeted the tournament schedule for the division three baseball regionals. The Pioneers will be hosting the tournament this year. They hit the diamond on Thursday for the second game of the tournament.
