MARIETTA, OH — Traffic in Marietta was affected this morning due to a two-car crash on the 100-block of Acme Street.

Marietta Police Captain Aaron Nedeff says they responded to the accident at 8:36. He says 51-year-old Bonnie J Hagar of Belpre ran her 2014 Subaru into the back of a legally parked Jeep. She then went across the median and hit a tree.

Hagar was taken to the hospital for her injuries. She was also cited for Operation Without Reasonable Control and Cell Phone Usage. Just a reminder, the Ohio Department of Transportation is running a safety campaign this week reminding drivers to be aware of their surroundings.
