Here are the top stories today in Marietta:

  1. Isaiah Campbell is going to prison for a savage attack on a Marietta man. He pleaded guilty to assaulting Devon Ours with a baseball bat earlier this year. He will serve 2-8 years in prison. Two others still face charges in this case. (WTAP)
  2. Police are identifying the man killed in a Williamstown crash. They say 55-year-old David Hearing was killed in a pedestrian vs car crash on Monday. The investigation into the crash is ongoing. (WTAP)
  3. Redistricting will commence soon for Ohio's 99 state House districts and the 33 in the Senate. There will be 10 hearings on how the redistricting should go, the two in southeast Ohio happen today. One will run from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at OU Zanesville. The second from 2:30 to 5:30 at Rio Grande Community College. (WOUB)
  4. OSU is requiring all students and staff to get the COVID-19 vaccine. They're the first public university in the state to do this since the Pfizer vaccine was granted FDA approval.
