  1. The Salvation Army in Marietta is looking for more Angel Tree Program donations to come in. While the organization is close to wrapping up donation deliveries for the annual Angel Tree Program, it has received less than half of the necessary donations. The deadline for delivering program donations is Dec. 10, with distribution day taking place on Dec. 20; anyone with questions or interest in the program is encouraged to contact the Marietta Salvation Army branch on Waterman St. (WTAP-TV)
  2. The search for an American Queen crew member ended on Saturday. The initial call came in Wednesday around 2:00 a.m. that a man went overboard the ship, which has stops in Marietta amongst other area cities. Rescue crews ended up searching more than 100 miles of the lower Mississippi River, but the unidentified man had not been found.( Harmar Village - Marietta, Ohio)
  3. The annual membership meeting of the Chamber of Commerce of the Mid-Ohio Valley was held Friday at the Adelphia in Marietta. Members heard about the state of the community from the perspective of healthcare, economic development, and tourism. Director Jill Parsons then gave a "state of the chamber" talk about plans the organization has for the next year. (Marietta Times)
