Here are the top stories today in Marietta:
- Mask mandates are going back into effect for Marietta City Schools. Some parents are happy, some are not. (WTAP)
- Mask mandates are also going to be implemented across the board at Memorial Health System. Vaccinated or unvaccinated, masks are mandatory. There will also be other restrictions going in place due to the rise of Coronavirus cases. (WTAP)
- Southeast Ohio's U.S. Congressman Bill Johnson says the Biden Administration must be held accountable for the Afghanistan failure. (Johnson)
- Athens schools are extending their COVID related shutdowns until after Labor Day. Most of the bus drivers have COVID or have been exposed. They also plan on instituting mask mandates. (WOUB)
- The number of pediatric COVID cases are rising. There are currently 20 children battling COVID in the Nationwide Children's Hospital. (Statehouse News)
