  1. The Wood County Commission will find out whether a project at the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Airport is eligible for American Recovery Act money. The commission Thursday discussed a request from airport management, for $1.4 million for major renovations of buildings on the airport grounds.(WTAP-TV)
  2. The owners of the local Wendy's spent part of Thursday morning honoring Parkersburg Chief of Police Joe Martin and his staff. Owners Kim and Ray Blackburn delivered breakfast sandwiches and coffee as part of the Wendy's "Thank You Community Heroes Breakfast Giveaway" program. (WTAP-TV)
  3. Marietta and the surrounding areas will be bustling with activity this weekend as the Christmas season has officially begun. Two month-long events launched Wednesday night, with the start of the inaugural Merry-etta Driving Tour of Lights and the Holiday Tree Walk at East Muskingum Park. (Marietta Times)
