Patti Jo Patton

Obituary

Patti Jo Patton, a beloved resident of Marietta, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on May 21, 1954, in Bluefield, WV, Patti was a cherished daughter of the late Presley and Jo Ellen Coon McKisic.

She was a proud graduate of Marietta High School and dedicated her professional life to her work as an accountant at The Marietta Times. Her meticulous nature and dedication to her work were admired by colleagues and friends alike.
In her leisure time, Patti enjoyed watching her favorite TV shows, including "Hell's Kitchen," "Supernatural," and "I Love Lucy." She also enjoyed doing puzzles. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Patti's life was filled with love and laughter, shared with her children Bryce, Dan, and Mike Patton, Mary Thompson, and Jessica Barslou. She was a devoted grandmother to six grandchildren and a great-grandmother to two great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life. Patti is also survived by her brother, Bill McKisic, her best friend Angie Scott, and her cherished grand cats, Echo, Roach, Cinnamon, and Pee-Paws.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Benjamin Matheny. Her family takes comfort in knowing they are reunited.

In accordance with her wishes, Patti will be honored with a direct cremation. Her family invites those who wish to honor her memory to make donations to Cawley Hospice, 2730 Washington Blvd., Belpre, Ohio 45714.
