Peter Alexander Saliba, a beloved resident of Marietta, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, June 26th, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on August 10th, 1953, in Cambridge, Ohio, Pete lived a life full of love, dedication, and adventure.

Pete was a proud alumnus of Caldwell High School, Class of 1971, where he played football and wrestled. Pete went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Business from The Ohio State University. His professional career was marked by his role as an Inspector at Stephen B Ogle & Associates, where he was respected for his diligence and integrity.

A man of deep faith, Pete was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, where he served as Grand Knight twice, demonstrating his commitment to service and community. He was also an avid golfer, fisherman, and skier, and he cherished his travels, always eager to explore new places and cultures along with being the best Jeddo to his many grandchildren. Pete was a Buckeye fan through and through, he never missed an Ohio State football game.

Pete is survived by his five children: Jason Saliba (Jessica), Kenneth Barlow, Christina Roberts (Don), Peter Saliba II (Brittnie), and Katherine Saliba, along with their mother, Laura Isner. He was a proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren: Ian, Jordan, Andrew, Payton, Ryan, Makenna (Amanda), Anthony, Avery, Bailey, Olivia, and Owen. Peter also leaves behind his significant other, Kathy Lough, and his siblings, Carl Richard Saliba (Gaye), Carolyn Arnold (Melvin), and Joyce Fogle, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Habib Saliba and Marie Mary Alexander Saliba, and his brother-in-law, Donald Fogle.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home in Marietta, Ohio, on Monday, June 29th, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Rosary service will be held at 7:30 pm. The Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at The Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption in Marietta, Ohio, on Tuesday, June 30th, 2026, at 10:00 am, with The Rev. Dale Tornes celebrating. Abiding with his wishes, he will be cremated. Burial of his ashes will take place at a later time with a private family ceremony.
