William “Bill” David Pierson, 79, of Marietta, Ohio passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 27, 1944 to Si and Peggy Pierson.

Papaw could always be found cheering for his grandchildren at their sporting events.

Bill is survived by his wife, Karen Duckett Pierson, whom he married on April 12, 1969; his son Matthew Pierson (Erin) and his daughter Kristin Holbert (Bradley); seven grandchildren, Levi, Hannah (Brennon Watt), Sarah Grace (Andrew Mueller), Ethan, and Noah Holbert and Mattie and Kate Pierson; and two great-grandchildren, Liam Watt and Paisley Pierson.
