  1. A West Virginia man at the center of a string of crimes in Marietta last month was indicted this week by the Washington County Grand Jury. James M. Doty, 37, was indicted on 10 charges, including aggravated robbery and burglary, grand theft of a motor vehicle, kidnapping, felonious assault, and more. During an investigation into several burglary reports throughout Marietta, it was learned that Doty had entered the home of the victims and demanded the keys to their vehicle, according to police.   2. Marietta's "Santacon" bar crawl got people crawlin' for a cause this weekend. Saturday's festive event was a collaboration between the United Way Alliance of the Mid-Ohio Valley and Marietta Main Street, and included seven establishments along Front and Second Street, as well as Boathouse BBQ on Virginia. Bar-crawlers, who paid a $20 admission fee to support the charitable work of United Way Alliance, were instructed to break out their jolliest Santa suits and ugliest Christmas sweaters for a costume contest judged by Jacob Krantz from WMOA Radio.   3. Marietta residents can expect a mostly-sunny Christmas week, with temperatures reaching highs in the 40s leading up to the holiday weekend. Wednesday and Thursday may be slightly windy, with predicted gusts up to 16 mph. (Marietta Patch)
