and Lounge, located in a strip center on Wilson Mills Road, just west of Interstate 271, is not what you would expect to find near a Panera and Home Depot.
Naya is owned by Elie Chamoun, a native of Lebanon, and is a personal expression of his eclectic tastes. Traditional Lebanese, contemporary American and Middle Eastern foods blend in an ethnic and international mélange of flavors.
Many items are locally sourced and organic/free range/hormone free. There are enough choices to satisfy many palates and eating preferences. Vegetarian items are clearly labeled. The fun bar atmosphere, with a huge TV, does not detract from the casual eating area. The ceiling is high with Middle Eastern-inspired shapes that act as sound baffles.
Some foods are served all day. Lentil soup, Ahi tuna, stuffed peppers and tabouli are all standards on the Starters menu. Flat breads and salads round out fare for the lighter appetite. Sandwiches ranging from pulled pork to falafel are accompanied by Bistro or sweet potato fries.
Main plates include standards such as filet mignon served with an innovative horseradish havarti au gratin potatoes, grilled salmon with artichoke and olive risotto, and spinach gnocchi with sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes, prosciutto and bleu cheese cream.
Bread pudding, chocolate mousse, Peanut Butter Crunch are unique in their own right, however they take a back seat when compared to Naya’s Chocolate Chili Bread Pudding.
