Hello and welcome to my blog!

My name is Daria and I am about to share with you my story of courage, strength and my new life, having left my family and friends to embark on a long journey across land and sea.

It seemed like it was only yesterday when I was sitting at home in my native Ukraine with my grandma Tonya, daydreaming of living in America. Yes, I wanted to live the American dream! And believe it or not it seems like only yesterday that I was daydreaming on that hot summer day, but here I am; living out my dreams as an immigrant in the Red, White and Beautiful United States of America.

So here I am in Mayfield Heights and all I can say is that things are a little bit different here than what I expected them to be. So this is my story of adapting to a whole new culture and a whole new way of life.
