Burning River Roller Derby Starts Home Play May 18

From Burning River Roller Derby: Burning River Roller Derby, Cleveland’s women’s flat-track roller derby league, is excited to announce their east side home opener at CE Orr Ice Arena in Euclid on Saturday, May 18. In this exciting doubleheader, Burning River will take on Roller Derby of Central Kentucky (ROCK). First, the Burning River HazMat Crew will face the Indie ROCKers, followed by the Burning River All Stars vs. the ROCK Stars. Doors to the venue open at 5 p.m., and the first bout will begin at 6 p.m. Fans will have one more chance to catch Burning River Roller Derby during Season 13 on Saturday, June 29.

This season, Burning River Roller Derby is partnering with three charities to give back to the community. Burning River’s 2019 charity partners are: City Dogs, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Northern Ohio Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation. Fans who donate to the charity of their choice will receive a chance to spin the BRRD prize wheel at all regular season games. We will be collecting cash donations for all charities, as well as item donations for City Dogs and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Big Brothers Big Sisters’ wishlist includes jackets, socks, and toiletry items such as feminine products, toothbrushes, and combs.
