As summer is in the bottom of the ninth, it's a good time to look back at what made it special. If hot dogs and baseball define this short season in Hillcrest, then you should have been at the Lake County Captains ballpark to experience summer at its fullest.
On special Tuesdays fans could bring their four-footed best friends to watch the Captains play. Although there was lots of action in the field, tails wagged regardless of who scored. The grassy area and the concession stands were the two favorite areas to see and be seen.
Watch for next year's schedule, and maybe you'll be ordering tickets by saying, "Two adults and one dog."
