School of Rock students got the opportunity to hang out with world famous drummer Danny Carey last Thursday!

Last Thursday our Highland Heights Students we're invited to hang out with Danny Carey, the drummer of world famous metal band, Tool. Danny was in town with his progressive rock side project Volto at the Grog Shop. He invited our students who participate in our weekly club, Tool Shed. The Tool Shed gets together every Tuesday night to play Tool covers! They've even been known to play a gig here and there! So imagine getting to meet your hero!!!! This is what we strive for here! The kids got to check out Volto's soundcheck and received free t-shirts from the band! Danny was awesome! He was very kind to the kids and parents and really carried himself with such a modest attitude! The kids even made it onto the Tool website! We have our Summer Performances coming up and our Fall Season starting in late September. Also, mark your calendars, we will be having an open house on October 5th from 2pm-5pm!! Rock on!!!
