Born, Married & Buried in October - Celebrating the Life of First Lady Caroline Scott Harrison

Highland Heights Garden Club presents Born, Married & Buried in October. Celebrating the Life & Times of First Lady Caroline Scott Harrison

Acclaimed historian and impersonator Craig Schermer brings Mrs. Harrison to a special celebration of her life and times at the Garden Club’s October 12th programLearn how Mrs. Harrison impacted the White House usage of orchids and how her influence made the Poinsettia the un-official flower of Christmas in the USA.

Mr. Schermer is a local favorite for his acclaimed theatrical performances and educational portrayals of historic women.  He is the former archivist and historian of the National First Ladies’ Library in Canton, and his own collection of first lady autographs, diaries, memoirs, photographs and memorabilia, one of the largest in the nation.
