The Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center will host the Power of Prevention Conference in support of Child Abuse Prevention Month. This year's conference features Dr. Bruce Perry, a national authority on childhood trauma and author of "The Boy Who Was Raised as a Dog" and "Born For Love: Why Empathy is Essential and Endangered."
Continuing education credits are available for counselors and social workers. Parking is free. Continental breakfast and lunch are provided.
The cost to attend the luncheon only (1 CEU) is $40. The cost for the workshops and luncheon (5 CEUs) is $60 if paid by April 13 and $75 after April 13.
