Father's Day Car Shows This Weekend

A picture perfect time with dad

Ask your dad about his first car, or about the car he almost bought but couldn't scrape up the money for (usually a ridiculously paltry sum by today's standards). There is no better way to spend a day talking and bonding than by going to a car show. This weekend there are two annual shows to choose from.

Saturday from 4-10 p.m. in downtown Willoughby there will be classics, hot rods, cruisers and more. Bring comfortable walking shoes and an appetite. The main block will be closed off for show cars, but all the restaurants will be open.

Sunday Stan Hywet hosts its 54th annual show featuring "The Year of the Chrysler" showcasing cars of the '40s. There will be more than  350 cars displayed in 25 different classes. Admission is $12.50 and the show runs from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This is set on the grassy areas of Stan Hywet hall. Walking will be easy and there will be shady spots under trees.
