Great Escape: Burton Antiques Market

Event is celebrating its 50th anniversary

Never been to the Burton Antiques Market at the Geauga County Fairgrounds? Really, the market is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and you’ve never been there? Well, your life has been far too sheltered. It’s truly a blast from the past. Plus there’s lots of down-home vittles for the scarfing as you make your way around the racetrack stuffed with Stuff.

"Something for everyone" is the promise. Saturday’s show, the grand finale of this year’s semiannual shows, features merchandise from 400 dealers – including silver, fine china, jewelry, porcelains, glassware, textiles, paintings, Americana, garden furniture, decorative accessories, rugs, primitives, old tools and stuff.

If you crave first dibs, a $20 early admission ticket will get you an uncrowded look-around from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.; otherwise general admission from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. is $6.

"Rain or shine" is another promise. If rain, wear duck shoes.

The fairgrounds is located at 14373 N Cheshire St, Burton. Parking is free, but be prepared to walk.
