Mayfield City Schools Releases 2016 Quality Profile

The report celebrates many of the district's successes over the past year.

MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, OH - The district has released its 2016 Quality Profile, which highlights many of the district's successes over the past year.

In the report, the district notes the need to increase its academic rigor and improve its personalized education model. The district is hoping to build on a 2015-2016 placement on the Washington Post's most challenging schools list.

The Class of 2016 achieved a number of successes throughout their final year. The students held a collective 23.8 ACT average, the highest in school history. There were 20 National AP scholars, the most in school history.

The district also took special pride in its fiscal responsibility, commending Treasurer Scott Snyder, who received an "Auditor of the State With Distinction" award for the second consecutive year. The district's annual expenditure growth has inflated by 2% over the last eight fiscal years. The report also said that the district has one of the lowest residential effective millage rates, 11th lowest out of 31 district in Cuyahoga County.
