Mayfield Heights Residents Can Register for CodeRED Notification System

CodeRED allows city officials to deliver important messages

The city of Mayfield Heights has contracted with Emergency Communications Network to license its CodeRED high-speed notification solution.

That means, when the the city has an important message, it can use the CodeRED system to quickly deliver it quickly to targeted areas or the entire city.

The system will be used to send critical communications from evacuation notices to missing child alerts. All important communications will be made by way of a voice call.

CodeRED can provide notices to specific neighborhoods in the city during localized incidents. But, for this to work, one must register with his or her street address to ensure critical notification calls go out to the right people.

The system stilll works with cell phones but the number needs to be associated with an address.

For those who are hearing impaired, the sign up form offers a TDD ONLY option for tone delivery of emergency messages. Messages delivered to phone numbers marked TDD will only be delivered in a TDD/TTY format.

If you wish to be included in a contact group for text or email messages, send an email to codered@mayfieldheights.org specifying to which groups you wish to belong.

Offered groups include Announcements, Reminders, Cancellations and Closures.

The data collected will be used only for these notification purposes. When you see 866-419-5000 on Caller ID, it is a call from the city via CodeRED.
