Mayfield School District Sews Up Financial Affairs

Board aligns its fiscal matters for past, upcoming year

School is out, but the business of schooling always has a few financial matters to finish up at this time of year.

The Mayfield City Schools Board of Directors signed off on a few financial appropriations measures to set its yearly fiscal boundaries at a special meeting held Friday afternoon at the Baker Administration Building in Mayfield Heights.

The board approved its final appropriation for the 2011-2012 school year totaling $122,809,320.74 with a general fund appropriation of $63,757,345.

Looking ahead to the 2012-2013 school season, the board put forth its temporary appropriation in the full amount of $30,622,000 with $15,939,000 for the general fund appropriation.

School Board Treasurer Scott Snyder said all this was done Friday so the district could meet its deadlines for the ending of the fiscal year which would be Saturday.
