I love country music because every song tells a story. Campaigning is like a country song... everybody has a story. I thrive on listening to the stories and hearing each person’s unique story. It is so interesting to hear what makes you "tick". That is why I will be a terrific Mayor. I love listening to the stories, the questions, and the answers. I care about people... and I truly believe that each person is special and deserves to be heard. As the Mayor of your city, I will have the ability to hear each of your stories, and I genuinely want to hear them. I promise you that I will always try to help make life better. I want you to know that you have a friend in city hall who will listen. Now, that may seem "corny", but it is the truth and that’s who I am. I have the compassion to come sit in your kitchen or in your backyard and talk with you. I love doing that... It has been my favorite part of being on Council and will be my favorite part of being Mayor. I know that you want somebody in City Hall who you can talk to, that will listen, and I want to be that person. We all deserve to be heard. This past week I heard many stories and I thank you for telling me. Thank you for listening to mine... isn’t it great to realize that somebody "Gets It". Have a super week.
