One more day of bad campaigning

So I was home today and I had a guy distributing literature again for Citizens for Ethical Leaders.  Unlike most people that would call the police and say that there is or are people passing out literature, I go up to them and ask questions.  The gentleman was nice and he let me know that he answered an ad on Craigslist to distribute the literature.  I asked him where did he pick up the literature and how does he get paid?  Again the gentleman was nice and answered my questions he said that he picked up the literature at the building past Bob Evens and the Hotel; you know the building in from front of Best buy.  I said the two story building? He said yes.   Residents of Mayfield if you don’t know that building that is Howard’s building and you know Howard is the boyfriend of Donna Finney who is running for the office of Mayor.  He told me he talked with two people and did not know their names. He said when he gets done he goes back and they pay him for his time and the gentleman also said it was to help Donna get elected.

So how ethical is it for Howard to run a hit piece campaign on behalf of his girlfriend and hide behind people he is hiring.  He did this when he ran for mayor and he also got in trouble for it.  Now we have Donna doing the same thing through Howard. 

I have a few questions for the residents of Mayfield.  Do we need a mayor that does hit pieces on other candidates and hides behind someone else?  I say no.  What is in it for Donna and Howard to spend so much money to get elected as a part time mayor?  To me it does not show too much common sense to waste all this money on hit pieces.  Talk about your time on council and what you did for the city and what you are going to do.  Then again if you really did not do anything I guess you would have to go after the people that were city council President and the mayor.  Donna is acting like the mayor is the one who does everything in Mayfield government, when the city government is set up like all the other governments around the country.  If there were any problems in the city when she was on council, Donna could have gotten laws or a city ordinance past.  

People of Mayfield we deserve better then what we are getting.  We need people that are not looking to do hit pieces on people, like Donna is doing.  It is funny she said DiCicco was a friend and doing a great job as mayor just a few months ago. That brings me to another question, how can you call someone a friend and then run a dirty campaign on them. How ethical is that?  It is time that we have real people that are hard working and looking to be a public servant for a short time, not for the title and the money.  They do it because they believe in the city and the people and want to see it grow.
