I was invited to be interviewed for the Republican Party of Cuyahoga County (RPPC), and sent in my questionnaire. The following Saturday, I was interviewed over the phone by the scanning committee. They asked some poignant questions, and I answered honestly, knowing that some of my answers were not what they wanted to hear.
A few weeks later, I was invited to the meeting where the RPCC listened to the recommendations of the scanning committee, and if present, candidates were allowed time to speak. Being a new candidate, and a fresh face jumping into the political ring, I did not get recommended by the scanning committee.
After the candidates who were present at the meeting were finished giving their ‘elevator interview’, there was a motion to adjust the endorsements to include me. Next, there was a motion to endorse all four candidates. Neither motion carried, but I believe it is a testament to my leadership and honest answers, that stirred some in attendance to make several motions to endorse me.

Let me be perfectly clear, I do not have the official endorsement of the RPCC.
I invite everyone, regardless of political affiliation, to attend a local chapter or County wide meeting. The people there believe in their ideals, and are willing to work hard to make sure their message is heard by their leaders.
